Our Charity. Our Community.
We are a non-profit organization whose mission is to provide martial arts education to local at-risk and/or low income students who cannot normally afford these activities. Our board is made up of community members who believe in martial arts education and who have had – or currently have – students learning at Escobar Training Grounds.
KIDS & TEEN KARATE CLASSES
Kids learn proper techniques and philosophies in the art of Tang Soo Do. They practice forms and one-steps used for self-defense and attack strategies.
SPARRING & MMA
As students progress in their training, they are given the opportunity to apply their skills of self-defense in a safe environment. Students practice situational combat with strategic coaching.
Kickboxing is a high pace, high cardio, calorie-burning exercise that stimulates your muscles and your brain. Students develop technique and strength. Skills include punching, kicking, combinations, movement and evasion strategies.

Who We Are
We are a non-profit organization whose mission is to provide martial arts education to local at-risk and/or low-income students who cannot normally afford these activities. Our board is made up of community members who believe in martial arts education and who have had – or currently have – students learning at Escobar Training Grounds.
What We Do
To accomplish our mission, we ask leaders in the community to nominate students that would benefit from martial arts education. Nominations come from school principals, counselors and other leaders in the south Lake Tahoe community. Students are nominated from a variety of backgrounds without prejudice or discrimination, but who have a strong desire for martial arts education and a need for financial assistance.
The Escobar Martial Arts Club secures funding for these students through local, state and federal grant application processes – as well as from private donations. If you can help, please donate now. We have many children in our community who are waiting to join!
Lend a Helping Hand
Our goal for 2024 is to support 20 at-risk students.
